Deep Reads - 12/18/05

Usually at Christmas and Easter, major news magazines get their kicks from running articles attacking Christianity. This time around, Time has a nice article on Joseph, the forgotten man at the Nativity. (A tip of the ol' ballcap to Jennifer and her Idle Rambling Thoughts.) And while you're at it, there's a good post about Joseph at Coffee Swirls.

How 'bout some good, old-fashioned Protestant vs. Catholic theology arguments? I had missed this one last month at Team Hammer's Musings.

And if you don't want deep, just some examples of the ridiculous, try George Will's column on 2005's Kind of Progress. (A tip of the ol' ballcap to runalong with pastor mark.)
