"Four Million Dollars Down the Drain"

Benny Hinn's crusade to Ghana wasn't apparently what he expected. He reportedly shouted from the stage, "Four million dollars down the drain!" Interestingly enough, a report shows that three million was spent on hotels, transportation, technical infrastructure and the like. To his credit, Hinn admitted that the money could have been better spent.

Now I fully realize that it takes some cash to get to Africa and that corruption in many African countries is rampant, but $3 million?!?!

Granted, I have a less than favorable impression of Hinn's "ministry" to begin with, but I wonder how many people could have been fed, clothed and housed for $3-4 million.

Down the drain indeed.
