Welcome!

I promised I'd get rid of the green a while back. Now it's finally happened. What a relief! Hope you like the new surroundings. I'm not quite satisfied with it yet, but I'm progressing. I'm still working on the comments, trying to decide whether or not to bring back the Haloscan or just work with the Blogger comments. I should decide before the weekend is over.

Also I've reworked the links, dividing blogs into brain, soul and walk categories. Don't worry too much if I've moved your link, as I'm not sure exactly which category everyone should fit into. As I've always said my blogroll is for my convenience, so even if it doesn't make sense to you it will (hopefully) make sense to me.

Still a few margin problems, but overall I think I kinda like it here. Whaddya think?

I really like it - but where's the pic of your smiling face? I feel so alone now!

Woa! You are trippin! I love it. But I do agree with Jules, we need to see your pic.

Wow!! Cool!! I'll make it three; where's your picture?

It's right here ---------->
:D

I've been trying to just get the pic up and not the whole profile thing, but so far nothing looks right.

Even though green is my favorite color, I love, love, love the blue.

One thing to note: this post was short and I had to scroll way, way down to read comments. Actually, I never would have thought to look for them at all, but I was looking down your side bar to see how things were set up. Anyway, that's someting that you might visit.

Or not.

Isn't it nice to have a new look?

Yeah, the header is kinda tall, but me being anything but a computer expert (I only know enough HTML to get my face slapped, as the expression goes), I'll likely have to get some help or get really lucky!

Hey, there. Funky new look. Pretty cool. Just an FYI:

So far, it looks like the content of posts doesn't show up on Firefox. I can see everything fine in IE, though

I figured it out: In Firefox, the post text doesn't appear in the left column until below the end of the right hand side bar. So it's there, it just not positioning correctly.

It's a good change--now your blog loads immediately instead of seeming to stall while the green loaded up. Nice clean design!

Looks great in IE- but Firefox still no likey.

Mind if I copy your source code and tinker with it on a test site and see if I can help?

(I've had to do this the other way- getting something to render in IE- before.)

John, It has worked fine in fire fox for me ever since Ed changed it.

Ed, stay with the blogger comments. I like learning new words like kcrstib.

You know, Tom, it's never too late to increase your vocabulary... :D

My only beef with the blue is not enough contrast to clearly read the text. Can you use a lighter shade or maybe experiment with text color?

rev-ed said...

Sic - I had considered it, just to make it clearer. However, even these on-the-road-to-worn-out eyes of mine didn't have any problems reading stuff on my test blog for a week or so. I may play with it in a week or two, but I much prefer the dark print rather than going to white text.

Fantastic new look! I have to go with the previous commenter - the blue is a tad too dark I think. I'd suggest a lighter shade.

Also - have you tried setting your blogger comments to pop up? It makes it a lot easier than having to go over a page.

Hey Rev, I am really digging the new design as well, but as others have said, in Firefox the post doesn't show up until the right hand sidebar is done. Also, you should open up comments to non "blogger" people!

God Bless,
